Dr.Weiyi Ding

Weiyi Ding, LAc, MD (China)

Dr. Ding earned an MD from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which is one of the top integrated medical universities in the world in 1976. After that, she did extensive practice, teaching, and research at Shanghai University of TCM and its teaching hospitals for over 10 years.

Also Dr. Ding earned an RN degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1993. She was a neurosurgery unit RN at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for 2 years and organ transplant unit RN at University of Washington Medical Center for 6 years.

Currently Dr. Ding is a professor at Bastyr University. She is teaching several core acupuncture and Chinese herb courses at campus as well as supervising acupuncture and Chinese herb shifts at Bastyr Center for Natural Health for both master and doctoral programs.

Dr. Ding has been practiced acupuncture and Chinese herbs combined with Western medicine for over 35 years and taught acupuncture and Chinese herbs at university level for over 25 years. She is very experienced in internal medicine, gynecology problems, women's health, adjunctive cancer care, pain relief, stress relief, prevention medicine, and chronic diseases that have not been controlled by other treatment.
